Why I'm Running

I'm running because I'm a passionate advocate for progress and positive change in St. Paul's Ward 2. With a deep understanding of the challenges our community faces, I'm committed to addressing key issues such as affordable housing, environmental sustainability, and empowering our cultural arts district to reflect our history and diverse communities.

I'm running because I have extensive experience in community organizing and grassroots activism has prepared them to bridge the gap between constituents and policymakers. They will amplify the voices of our neighborhood, ensuring that everyone has equal opportunities and access to vital resources.

I'm running because I believing in a sustainable future, I supports initiatives that promote walkability, public transportation, and green spaces, while also preserving the unique character of our historic neighborhoods. They firmly believe that affordable housing is a right for every resident and will work tirelessly to address the disparities in our community, protecting renters' rights and advocating for affordable housing development.

I'm running because I place a strong emphasis on supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs, including minority-owned businesses. Their goal is to reduce barriers and provide resources that allow our local businesses to thrive and contribute to St. Paul's vibrant economy.

I'm running because I a passion and deep concern to build a stronger and safer Ward 2, I will work towards community policing strategies that enhance trust and ensure everyone feels secure and respected. They also recognize the importance of empowering our youth through educational opportunities, after-school programs, and mentorship.

I'm running because I believe that transparency and accessibility are top priorities, I believe in open decision-making processes and being available to listen to and address the concerns, ideas, and feedback of residents. I'm committed to celebrating and embracing the diversity of Ward 2, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued.

I am running for City Council with the goal of serving as a unifying force and advocate for the marginalized members of our community, as well as inspiring our youth to engage with the government. Far too often, I hear individuals express their frustration at not being heard and believing that their votes hold no significance. Fueled by a deep commitment to fostering positive change, I recognize the profound influence local government wields in shaping our city's destiny. I am dedicated to leveraging my life experiences and skills to tackle pressing issues such as affordable housing, public safety, infrastructure, and sustainability.

In my role as a bridge builder, I will actively foster collaboration among the diverse segments of our community, confronting challenges like the opioid crisis head-on. My key priorities encompass enhancing transparency, enforcing accountability, and optimizing resource allocation. I am committed to working in partnership with fellow council members, community organizations, and businesses to identify shared solutions, thereby paving the way for a vibrant future that benefits all.

Join me on the journey towards a better future. Together, we can create a Ward 2 that not only thrives economically and environmentally, but also reflects the richness of our diverse communities. Vote for progress, vote for a better future with Noval Noir for St. Paul Ward 2 City Council!"
